Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath: Asia Yoga Conference

June 1-4(6月1-4日), 2007 Hong Kong香港, China

Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath: Asia Yoga Conference亞洲瑜珈研討會

This is Sri K. Pattabhi Jois's first visit to South East Asia.
這是 Sri K. Pattabhi Jois第一次訪問東南亞

For the past 10 years, he has declined numerous offers from Yoga Conferences around the world and he usually only visits places where he has dedicated students to look after their growth and well-being.
We at the Asia Yoga Conference are extremely honoured to have him as the guest of honour at this Conference.
If there is anybody who deserves the title "The Teacher of teachers," it is this humble "young man" who has dedicated 70 years to the service of Yoga.
See conference website for teaching schedules of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath Rangaswamy.

Sri K. Pattabhi Jois Led Primary Series with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois
2 June, 6:30am - 8am
3 June, 6:30am - 8am
4 June, 6:30am - 8am
This class will be taught in the traditional count-through style with the appropriate number of Vinyasas for each posture.
Sri K. Pattabhi Jois was first taught this method of Yoga from T. Krishnamacharya in the early 1930s in Mysore and has since made the preservation of this style of Yoga his life work.
At the AYRI (Ashtanga Yoga Research Centre) in Mysore, he gradually takes students through the numerous postures and sequences this practice is famous for, but whenever he tours around the world he usually only teaches the Primary Series, which is more than a handful for most 'normal' practitioners.
This Primary Series, also known as Yoga Chikitsa (Yoga Therapy), seeks to develop a healthy body/mind/nervous system for the practitioner in order to have a solid foundation to receive the infinite beauty of Yoga.
This class is not suited for raw beginners, but rather for those with some previous experience in the Ashtanga Yoga method.

5pm - 6:30pm Sharath Rangaswamy Led Primary Series
2 June, 5pm - 6:30pm
3 June, 5pm - 6:30pm
4 June, 5pm - 6:30pm
Come and experience the traditional practice of Ashtanga Yoga.
Sharath Rangaswamy will guide you slowly and steadily through the whole Primary Series.
This practice has a particular sequence of breath and movement called Vinyasa that integrates the two together in a steady flow practice.
This ancient practice is a little more challenging than other styles of Yoga, but is guaranteed to awaken greater health and well being for all of its practitioners.
Don't miss this great opportunity to experience Yoga from the source, the living caretakers of the Ashtanga Yoga tradition.
